Conversations & Collaborations:

  • Texted with Adam - consulted on live setup, process, and workflow. He’s going to lend me new gear to work with.

  • I took his recommendation and bought a Roland VT-4 for live tune for vocals

What went well?

  • I learned how to play Gone Glow for the most part

  • I cleared out my space and made it a rehearsal space

  • Played with live visuals

  • Made significant progress and opened up my process

What was frustrating or didn’t work?

  • Not feeling MainStage

  • Want to improve my vocal ability

  • Limitations of current gear

  • Space still needs work

Unexpected insights or creative breakthroughs

  • I learned the part relatively easily

  • Start of this series

How you felt throughout the process:

  • Happy, motivated, curious

  • Feeling more confident and excited to perform

Any moments of doubt, excitement, or frustration:

  • Felt insecure at times about my voice

Reflections on creative flow

  • Enjoyed working on my own

  • Felt locked in with the process and didn’t second guess

  • I allowed myself to experiment without judgement

  • Happy I took a break ¾ the way to run errands and eat dinner

What I Learned Today:

  • Improved guitar and vocal performance

  • Everything is new - diving into this process head on

What do you want to pick up next time?

  • Continuing to rehearse Gone Glow

  • Start learning Crave You, Alchemy, Collide

  • A quite new gear and start seeing how that helps/ hinders the current process and flow

Pending ideas, unfinished experiments, follow-ups?

  • I want to tie in the other songs and see how the show as a whole plays out

  • Would love to have more control of vocal fx and guitar fx

  • Would be fun to play with other players to find new pockets - could be good for finalizing the tracks

Final Thought:

This is day 1 of many. Continue to enjoy the process and allow your creativity and intuition guide you. You’re developing something unique and inspired that you knew you had within you. Now is the time to execute and not look back.
