Elias Abid

Elias Abid is a French-Algerian-American artist, producer, and songwriter born in Paris and raised between France and Kansas City. His forthcoming EP, opticplay, turns the feeling of living between cultures, languages, and versions of home into cinematic alternative-pop - blending intimate vocals, bilingual songwriting, widescreen production, and the emotional pull of distance, memory, and reinvention.

A self-taught multi-instrumentalist with over 84M catalog streams across his work, Abid has written and produced music that has reached global audiences, and charts. With collaborators including Chris Keating, formerly of the experimental rock band, Yeasayer, opticplay marks his clearest statement yet as a solo artist: atmospheric, personal, and built from the tension between identity, movement, and belonging.
